What is favicon ? some of you may ask, it is actually a small icon at your browser url address bar. It looks like this  , the small logo beside your url. Though it just a small image but it help to brand your site and makes it look more professional. The setup of creating your own favicon is very simple with the help from a site called dynamicdrive. Their favicon tool help to generate an image (max 150 kb) to be converted into a favicon for your site. The step is fairly simple, you just upload your image and click on create icon. It will save your new favicon to your computer and you just need to ftp your new favicon to your root site folder, overwriting your existing favicon. Take note that you need to clear cache of your browser to enable you to see your new favicon and sometimes it will take hours for it to take changes for some browsers. Cheers.
